😂 The Typo That Nobody Saw

You’ve read it.

It’s almost like the letters get bigger after they’re printed.

Because proofreading on a screen and seeing something printed at full size are two very different experiences!

📅 The Wrong Date

Nothing makes an event flyer more exciting than discovering the event date is wrong… after you’ve printed 1,000 of them.

The event is Saturday.

The flyer says Sunday.

Someone immediately suggests putting a sticker over the date.

Someone else suggests a Sharpie.

And someone quietly asks:

“How much would it cost to reprint these?”

Bleed and trim got you.

Professional printing involves more than simply pressing “Print.” Margins, trim areas, image resolution, and bleed all matter when you’re creating a finished printed piece.

That’s why it’s important to prepare artwork correctly before it goes to press.

🎨 The Color That Looked Totally Different

On your monitor:

Beautiful blue.

On the printed piece:

Somewhere between purple and “What happened?”

Screens use light to display color, while printing uses ink or toner. Colors can look different when they move from digital to printed form.

That’s one reason professional printing and proofing can make such a difference.

🖼️ The Tiny Picture

“Can we make the logo bigger?”

Sure!

“How about this picture?”

Sure!

“Can we make THAT bigger too?”

Eventually, your original 8.5″ × 11″ flyer has one enormous photo, a giant logo, and approximately three words of text squeezed into the remaining space.

Sometimes less really is more. 😉
